What has Tony learned?

It is running beneath people's radar but there is a real chance that Tony will be the first President of Europe, once the Lisbon Treaty is ratified. So far he's got the support of the UK, France, Italy and Germany.
Do we want a European President who still believes in the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive engagement?

Or one who connived at torture? Or one who sacked the Foreign Secretary at Bush's dictation? Or one who is hawking his conscience round the globe? Or one who denied what was happening when Israel attacked the Lebanon just as its economic recovery was working? Still Madame Blair will make a great first lady.

No he hasn't. ?My guess is less than 10% of the populations of those countries would even countenance this scum getting its hand on power again, and in the UK the figure is probably closer to zero. So don't deceive yourself we are living in anything remotely resembling a democracy. Wake up, and pray to Almighty God or whomsoever you believe in that the Irish reject Lisbon for a second time.
